“The Human Centipede” Spoiler by Daniel Tosh

By this point, most everyone has at least heard of The Human Centipede, the grisly, Dutch-made horror film released earlier this year. Now, I’m not usually one for horror films very much — mainly because there is such an incredible dearth of ones that are actually any good — but this one kind of reminds me of the car wreck on the side of the road that you can’t help but slow up to just to take a peek at the wreckage. I’ve seen the trailers and have read all about it — David Edelstein of New York magazine went as far as to call it quite possibly “the sickest” footage ever put to film (he also said the movie stinks to high heaven).
We all pretty much know the plotline here — two pretty & ditsy American girls (of course they’re American) are travelling through Europe and end up with a flat tire on a dark, woodsy road in Germany. They seek refuge in an isolated villa which is the home of Dr. Heiter who claims to to be a retired surgeon whose specialty was separating Siamese twins. His twisted dream experiment is now to reverse this procedure and join people together (he’s already got a young Asian man being held hostage) via their gastric systems. Like I said, I haven’t seen it yet, but I do hear there are some ghastly sights to be seen and some images that keep you squirming in your seat and looking away throughout the experience.
Enter, the wonderful comedian Daniel Tosh — who thankfully has his own show “Tosh.0” on Comedy Central. Tosh has always been a hilarious comedian and he’s just released his own uncut “Spoiler Alert on The Human Centipede” on his Tosh.0 website — and it is pretty damn funny…so I wanted to post it here (see link below) on Magic Lantern Film. Give it a watch and see for yourself. Whether you have seen the film already, waiting to see this monstrosity, or plan on never seeing it at all, give this video clip a peek if you want to laugh.

I must say that I am somewhat concerned, because the actual title of the movie is The Human Centipede (First Sequence), which suggests that there there will be more to follow. I shudder to think…
If you have seen The Human Centipede, I would love to know your thoughts on it! It’s garnered so much word of mouth, any comments you leave here would be greatly appreciated…
